Platform One is the new brand for the tech platform that powers all Trainline activity
Visited 78 million times every month, Platform One hosts multiple tenants including Trainline’s own retail channels, ticket retailing for several train operators, and a fast-growing presence in the business travel market
Trainline, Europe’s leading independent rail platform, has launched the new name and brand for its technology platform: Platform One.
Platform One powers the ticket retailing for multiple tenants in the UK and Europe, enabling millions of travellers to seamlessly search, book and manage their journeys – whether through our partner train operators, business travel retailers, or Trainline’s own web and app retail channels. It offers passengers simplicity and certainty they are getting best value, while helping train operators to maximise their customer reach and ensure their product – rail travel – stands out.
Platform One covers more than 270 rail and coach companies across 45 countries, including over 80% of rail routes in Europe. There are around 78 million visits to Platform One every month across all channels, and 296 searches on the platform every second. Trainline employs around 400 engineers, data and tech specialists who work on Platform One and process over 600 system releases every week.
